Default Leaking low pressure AC port

The low pressure AC port on my 98 Dakota is leaking, I can hear it. Can that schrader valve be replaced? Can it be replaced with a standard Schrader valve from a valve stem?

Default yes you can

Replacing them will lose all your Freon though.

Also replace the one that’s under the presser sensor there is one under that so replace both it should be a kit with new high Low caps also.

I also recommend replacing the A/C Receiver Drier/Accumulator at same time.

You will need to purge the system with a vacuum pump before you replace the Freon.

Talk to the AutoZone guy he will explain it all and they have the pump as a loaner at the store.

You will need new seals for the A/C Receiver Drier/Accumulator and a special tool to remove it they are cheap at AutoZone same.
