Default poss trans or sensor problem please help

ok so i am new to this forum... I finaly got the Dakota i wanted 1998 sport 4x4 5.2 now after putting a motor in it i got to drive it for the first time and i have problems i dont know if there are trans related or sensors ... or poss grounds.

issue 1: when taking off slow trans shifts ok but if taking off fast it cant find 2nd gear untill i let off

issue 2: i went to get on the highway and the ck engine light came on and the truck started to pop and back fire and when i pushed the gas it didnt wana go untill i held the gas down and then it took off all the way to 70mph but when i went to get on the throttle lightly it did the same i got off the hwy and got gas it didnt act up untill later did the same thing

issue 3: going up a hill if i have the gas half way down it bucks and seems like its missing but if i put it to the floor it goes smooth

any help would be appreciated i am gonna check the ck engine light in a lil while thanks
