Long Bed 2wd lift and fender flares
I cant stand the look of my longbed truck right now. Its so plain. I wouldnt mind doing a mild lift with some fender flares. Do you guys know if long beds have the same rear fender demensions as reg beds? Also whats the deal with body lifts (2 or 3")? I realise you off roaders want a combo of suspension and body clearance but for looks Im opting for the body lift. Also how hard is it to do a body lift? Tons of questions I know..and sorry.
I"m not sure if the rear fenders have the same dimensions or not. I would think that the fender flares would be the same size. They just add length in the other parts of the bed. THe wheel wells are kinda standard I believe. As far as a body lift. It depends on what you have done to your truck. If you don't have anything like a brush guard then you won't have a problem. If you have one you would have to get some brackets fabbed up. You would also have to get your exhaust raised up. If you have someone who knows what they are doing or you know what you are doing then it shouldn't be too difficult to put on. All in all even with the minor mods and fabs you would have to make its still much cheaper than doing a suspension lift. Its just not as functional.
i no your looking into a body lift. But you can get a fabtech 2 inch or 3inch suspension lift kit for your 2wd dakota for around $949.99 for the 3inch. (with out shocks) Its more expenisve but alot less hassel as body kits can tend to be............well lets just say a pain in the *** lol. But it also in my opinon looks alot better with a suspension lift just my 2 cents hope ya fiind what your looking for.
