Default Exhaust for the 2.5

Well, my stock muffler has a good crack and several spots that have rotted through already. I figured no time better than now to upgrade. Does anybody have any suggestions on what brand muffler I should get and I'll be doing a catback as well so, what size pipe should I run? Thanks.

Well, I finally got around to doing my muffler. I ended up putting in a Flowmaster 40 series. It is nice and throaty, just the way I like it. I was actually suprised when I started it up for the first time. I thought it was going to sound a bit ricey, being a 4 banger an all, but it has a very pleasant throat to it. I am also going to be moving forward with the Jeep 2.5 torque tube headers in the next week or two.

Cool Great

I think you got the exact one I did 3 years ago it was either the 40 or 50 I can’t remember but my exhaust sounds nothing like a 4 banger sounds more like a V6 deep throaty sound but very quiet at the same time.

What are torque tube headers? That’s a new one on me!

My truck is still running just fantastic been goofing around with making my own CAI kind of pissed at myself so far I have spent $130 on this thing should of just got those fancy new injectors I don’t think the CAI is going to give much in performance.

Just got a funky bug in my head on doing a custom CAI not thinking it would run that much I get a little too wild doing the custom thing at times.

Yep, those are the ones. Banks Torque Tubes. I just ordered them today. I'll let you know how it goes.

I have a homebrew CAI too. I wrapped it in Thermo-Tec intake wrap. It doesn't give any huge gains, just better throttle response is all, plus sound of course.
