2000 Dakota Quad Cab 4x4 Sounds Issues
Sorry guys I am new to this forum so sorry if I post anything incorrectly.
Anyway, I recently installed a new head unit into my Dakota. A Boss BV9998B, however once installed I got a mean whining noise that grew louder with the alternator, probably cause by improper ground. I couldn't stand it any longer so I just disconnected the right rear speaker. Does anyone know a proper wiring diagram, I just found one online and I do not think is it the correct one.
In addition to that issue, all my audio cuts out after level 20. Which isn't very loud. It is almost like it maxes out and the stereo goes into some protection mode. To correct it, I just turn down the volume level. What can I do to fix this?
If anyone can help me out with this it would be greatly appreciated! I am definitely and amateur when it comes to car audio.

I will move this to the 2nd Generation Dakota sub forum. In that section there is the service manual with the wiring diagrams. Also www.the12volt.com has the wires listed.
