Default Question about gas tank size.

I have a 2001 Dakota 4.7L Quad Cab and I was wondering what size my gas tank should be. It was built in late 2000 but i have heard of there being a variety of gas tank sizes for this year. Any help will be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.

Don't know if this is any help or not. The only ones for the 2000 were 17 and 22 gallon. My 2000 4.7L Club Cab has a 22 gallon tank. The only way I know that is the fact that at empty on gauge, it takes 18-19 gallons to fill up.

Thanks, this makes me think that mine is a 20 gallon instead of the 22.
