Home made tonneau cover?
Just my
.
Take a piece of plywood to you local spray-in liner shop and have them shoot it. May not cost you anything and it would give you a chance to see what it looked like and maybe do some testing on. They may even give you an opinion on how it would hold up.
If you decide to use some sort of gas spring, you'll need to know what the compressed and extended length will be, along with the weight it will support. You'll need mounting points for both ends. Our cover uses 10mm ball studs fastened to our system.

If you think there's a chance that you might consider buying a manufactured cover, please keep us in mind. Our product is practical, affordable and is very attractive. You can find out more by reading my intro post at. https://dodgeforum.com/forum/new-mem...ml#post2695698
