Default 02 3.9v6 Idle, shifting problems

New to the forum, but im at a loss for a long term ongoing issue. At idle, the engine lacks consistency. When given brief throttle, rpm jumps as it should, but fails to return to idle at an expected rate, then drops roughly below idle, then to idle.

Once im rolling, shifting is VERY delayed. I've also got an automatic. On average acceleration, coming out of first or second shifting happens around 3 to 4 grand without being under heavy load, and shifting is hard. Some days its consistent, others varied. Happens in all conditions, warm weather and cold, cold engine, up to temp, humid, arid...

I don't have a lot of experience onthis type of issue, but its becoming problematic to drive it this way. I feel like maybe I'm dealing with an o2 sensor, but im not even sure of these issues are related at this point. Any thoughts?
