Ok here's somewhat of a quick way to find out the true color was. Hopefully the hood liner is still intact. If you pull that back a little you should be able to see the true color. As far as the sport or not All the sports came with color matching front and rear bumpers. The number 2 in your VIN is just a spacer type of digit. If you get a LMC catalog or go to their web page at, LMCtrucks.com, you will be able to completely decipher your VIN. another thing to keep in mind is that there are those people out there who change VIN numbers just to be able to sell a vehicle, and depending on where you live that could be the case more than likely. Yes it's illegal but they do it so check some of the other locations, the engine, frame, etc.) and compare the VINs. If they are all the same and it shows that it is a sport or whatever, then you'll know for sure that things have been changed prior to you owning it. If the numbers don't match, call the local P.D. to see if any of the VIN's are on a BOLO list as stolen. If that is the case that they are all different be prepared to loose the vehicle. Sorry but, it would beat you sitting in jail for possession of a stolen car and receiving stolen property. One good thing is that you could go after whoever you got the truck from for the money you paid for it.
