I cut the hood springs when I installed a fiberglass hood (I know now I could have taken off one nut and avoided this but too damn late).
Now I have sold off the fiberglass hood and installed a reflexxions steel hood. I would love to have the springs back but I went thru so much to get this hood aligned I hate to remove it again to put on new hinges.
Soooooo, did Dodge ever use hood lift shocks, like on the rear hatch of a van, on Dakota? If so what years and where can I get them?
