Default question on interor trim.

i have recently purchased a 01 durango r/t for parts to fix mine up. i got to thinking about switching the insides with my 97 dakota. i was wondering if everything would switch out, with out making major adjustments?

as far as switching out, do you want the durango interior in the dak or visa versa? also what cab do you have on the dak, cc, qc, rc? what parts do you want to switch? the whole interior, just the seats, dash and door panels?

i would to to switch it all. i like the look of the 01 r/t interior. plus i miss the little things like the heated seats and stuff like that. i know some custom work will need to be done. seeing that the dakota is a manual tranny and the durango is auto. i am thinking of taking the interior from the durango and sticking it in the dakota club cab. i don't want to pull that dakota apart just to find out if they won't swap, then put it all back together.

since i have used what i needed to fix my durango. i still have all the interior in the durango i bought for parts.

i figured there would be a few things that wouldn't swap after looking at it. like the headliner and plastic behind seats. i just found out that the doors are not the same for the durango vs. dakota. the dakota doors are longer. so i will have to see if the door trim is sized different too. the other thing that i am wondering is the console in the headliner. since the headliner is different, i am wondering if i can install the one from the durango into my dakota. since the dakota doesn't have anything there as of right now.
