Default Single chamber muffler 3.9L

Sorry about another exhaust/muffler thread but Has anyone tried a 2.5 in/out, single in dual out, single chambered muffler (like the flow master 10 series)? I can't find anything about a single chambered muffler on a dak in general, let alone a V6. I know a V6 will NEVER sound as good as a V8 but I am looking for a deep idle and good low end torque. I am building a cold air intake and putting on a high flow cat before I mess with the muffler. I will also be running 2.5 inch pipes from the engine

I tried 3 set ups with my v6 and to be totally honest it's just an angry ricer. Best I got was no cat and a thrush welded muffler. Now that dual may dampen the riciness, but don't spend a ton of money on an exhaust for the 3.9. I learned my lesson there

How did you get away without running cats? I don't care about emmision tests because there is no such thing in ol' bama but without a cat your O2 sensor is going to read a rich flow which would most likely flood the engine. I thought about going without a cat but i don't want to take the chance of blowing my engine. I'm going with a high flow magnaflow cat and i need some kind of muffler. Dynomax ultraflo's get the best airflow but i'm kind of cheap and don't want to spend $80 for a big name brand.
