Just bought a 2002 Dakota 4x4 v6. Need to change fluids, what model trans and transfer case are in my truck? I read the FAQ, didn't help.

 

Look in the glove box at the sticker there should tell you all the info you need.

All dodge use ATF4 (It might say 2 but 4 is the same just upgraded version) and the Dif. uses gear oil with an additive it will list it all and in the owners manual if you have it.

 

The diff only needs a additive if you have the limited slip. You can get a build sheet from dodge that will tell you everything your truck came with. Takes about a day to come back by email
