I just dropped a 98 5.9 from a Ram 1500 in my 99 Dakota. I am fairly certain the 5.2 that was in it was not the original. I am also certain the tranny is not original. The bolts did not line up on the flexplate/torque converter. Now the starter will not fit properly. The starter hits a boss on the block that is slightly smaller on my old 5.2. Can I grind the boss down on the block or should I replace the tranny?
