Default Idle RPM

Just wanted to get your imput.. I had swapped IAC with a new one (That was Defective) that threw instant Check Engine light.. but it was interesting while i was adjusting it to match the old idle; it was idling about 800 rpm.. power from a dead stop was awesome.

I played around after cleaning my working one.. and adjusted it to run about 700-750

Whats your opinion other than burning more gas and a slight temp increase?

Throttle response is insane.. so is pick up from a dead stop. Buddies 5.0 HO mustang (Standard) couldn't keep up till I hit 4th gear.

My dad's fords 5.4L and older Ford 302's i remember always idled about 700-800 range. I think these dodge at 550-600 is just for emissions.

Whats your thoughts? Seems like a no cost mod to get better off the line.

Anyone? I'm surprised no one even bothered to put some input in.. this really helped my low end take off.. and is a 0 cost mod.
