UK Dakota 4.7 Sport p0172 Fault! Help Please.
Hi There, I am in the UK and have a 2000 Dakota Sport 4.7l.
On first start up, in Open Loop it seems to be running rich/rough! After approx 2 mins, presumably when it changes over to Closed Loop it runs fine. It is coming up with P0172 fault code which in my book says 'Rich Bank 1', I was thinking of Coolant Temp Sensor but would that only effect Bank 1, and which is Bank 1? drivers side or passenger side?(it is a left hand drive!!) Any ideas? I replaced the Oxygen sensor last year so that should be ok and it is fine in closed loop anyway. Cheers, Tim.
