2004 dakota a/c heating vents

Default 2004 dakota a/c heating vents

Hi all, new here as of today, cant seem to find my way around yet, but my 04 dakota a/c heating vent seems to be stuck in the floor/defroster vent, dodge house wants a grand to fix it, got any advice?? please hurry, its hot in texas )

Sounds like the same issue I had. It's really simple, hopefully. Look under the dirvers side and there should be a metal looking pump thing, with a yellow hose attached. It's not very big, but if the hose gets unattached for whatever reason, it will only blow through the defrost vents.

i do not beleive in 01 and up we have vacuume lines. it is all electronically controlled. when the accuator gets stuck or striped, defrost is the defalt position. the blend door is a bitch to get to and just as hard to replace. gotta live with it or pay for it. mine for whatever reason fixes itself from time to time. not in the mood to look at it.

Yes you are correct 2001 and up are all electric servos found that out just this year.

Your only option is pay the piper or DIY it yourself not even sure how you fix it I have an older Dakota with the vacuum lines.

Try this flip the selector switch back and forth a few times it may pop lose for you if you are lucky.
