Default Gas leaking and truck stalling

I have a 2001 with a 4.7l V8. I recently got a code for P0455 and P0442, which are of course massive and small vapor leaks. I would check the evap hoses and such, but when I top my truck off about 1/2 a gallon spills out under the truck. I can't tell if it's coming from the neck or the tank. Also the truck will start and then about 100 ft down the road the truck will start jerking, losing power, and rev up to 8-9k RPM then die. Also sometimes it will start and then just lose power and die. I've been told by friends it could be everything from the Tranny to the Fuel pump. Any insight?

gas will burn in a hart beat. be CARFUL. gasoline has a flash point of -45F. thats 45 below 0F. my thinking is the rpm rise is cause its lean. fuel line might be leaking, that would steal fuel. do you go off road? just a thought.

Yes, I take it out often. So you think they actual leak could be causing the stalling and such? Any chance that my fuel pump could be dying because of this? Or if i fix the leak will all the problems go away?

you could also just take the bed off. All you have to do is pull 6 bolts and your spare and any where from 3-4 people and it comes right off

electrical wires? if it was mine and i had to replace the fuel pump, i would put an external pump on, with a top level filter, external of course. with a steel shield of course. and he right pressure fuel hose.
