Default STOCK 2003 Dakota quad cab. How big of tires can I use?

I have a stock 03 dakota quad cab. I'm looking for new tires/wheels, and am wondering how big of tires can I go. I'm pretty sure that 32" is too big, but I'm thinking 31" would work. I'm also using 16s. I'm going to tighten up the tortion bars to level the front end a little bit, and maybe later on do an add a leaf on the back and a small lift in the front. But for now, I'm looking to keep the truck stock. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
Sam

I was looking to do same. I think once you do the torsion lift, you can get 32's in there...

31s will do, 32s will rub no matter what on stock rim.

I run 265/75-16 which is 31.65 inches and they only rub under full turn. I think they look nice on a quad cab. oh yeah I cranked my t-bars and put 1 1/2" blocks in rear.
