2001 dakota tranny issues?
i have a 2001 dakota v8 4.7 L
it has been down shifting hard for a while, you kind of get used to it, but recently its gotten worse. also, it started stalling when i go from reverse to drive. its a quiet stall. the rmps get really low and it just turns off. but within the last couple of days its stalled about every time i come to a complete stop or i dont have my foot on the gas.
my right downstream oxygen sensor it out but i dont think thats what the problem is.
also, when it stalls and i crank it back on, it smells like a mixture of burning oil and gas, and it smokes alot more than it used to.
any ideas on what could be going on?
