Default next mod?

Okay, this is what I have already.

00 Dakota Sport 5spd w/ 2.5L

Now before you start bashing the 2.5 I'll let you know that I've taken V6 guys on and turned them into believers. I've even taken on V8 guys(5.2) and nearly won. So, please no hating on it.

My current mods:

Bored .030 over
Port/polished head
4.0 TB
23lb/hr Bosch injectors
Banks TorqueTube header
2.5" downpipe to Flowmaster 40
Accel Super Coil
Accel 8mm wires
Bosch platinum plugs gaped at .045
A/C delete
Heat wrapped custom CAI
Short throw shifter
Belltech front/rear sway bars
Energy control arm and leaf spring bushings
Moog springs
XRF balljoints
Moog inner/outer tie rods
KYB Monomax front shocks
Monroe Sensatrac Load Adjusting in rear
EBC YellowStuff front pads
Cragar Slotted/drilled rotors

What do you guys think my next mod should be? Within a $300 budget. Thanks.

Have you tried a tuner on it?

Can you do the 1.7 rockers like the big motors?

forced induction might be next on your radar?

They don't make tuners for this motor. I've thought about getting it dyno tuned though.

Most parts for this motor are under Jeep. Yella Terra and another company that I can't remember make roller rockers, but are a bit pricey. If I do go FI then I'll invest in this.

I know Avenger makes an SC kit for about $5k and 505 makes a TC kit for about $2k. I've also thought about an STS rear mount, but I have concerns about lag and loss of boost.

I think Han5.2 on here has his turbo under the cab after the Y pipe, remote turbo kit, with no problems.

Get a hold of John Mercedes john[at]southeastrt[dot]net

If the 2.5 is just half of a 5.2, then the rockers should bolt on- but Harland may not keep a kit around for a 4 cylinder.

I'll look him up, thanks.

That's the other company I was thinking of. They also make a cam for this motor too.

The 2.5 isn't a Magnum like the 3.9, 5.2, and 5.9. It's a Power Tech. It's basically a Jeep 4.0 with 2 less cylinders and that's been destroked and bored out.
