Cool

all the way off then just flashes...like an alarm system flash type of thing....while trying to remove the silver nut/bolt that has the 3 notches in it i somehow tightened everything up and so far no issue ill know better for sure when I go for a drive tomorrow lol. of the wiring i was able to fully see there was no visible signs of damage to it...now just to finish figuring out the wiring to the speakers no wiring chart i found matches my truck and previous owner cut out harness but that ill get slowly but surely lol....ill update here when I know for sure its working.

It sounds like the antenna is OK. You probably still have a bad ground for the radio. The antenna coax cable shield also serves as a ground connection, because the antenna base mounts to the metal surface of the fender. Loosening and tightening the antenna base mounting nut probably caused the ground from the antenna coax shield to make connection with the fender again and therefore grounded the radio better, so the radio works again. If you have not done it already, pull the radio and ground it to clean bare metal under an existing nut or bolt in one of the kick panels.

Ah ok that makes sense I already did a ground from the radio to behind a bolt in the kick plate...guess the antenna ground was the issue...assuming it keeps working and nothing else comes up I guess my problem is solved and thanks to all who assisted.
