Default intake swap

I have a 2003, 4.7 engine. For quick horsepower above 3000rpm all I have to do is bolt on the 08-11 intake manifold with the TB adapter? Nothing else needed? Tx

yup get it bolted on with your spacers and you will be good to go the only thing else is plugging the egr hole and changing your egr line

Before rushing into a 08+ manifold you might want to think about a 05-07.
I fitted one to my 2000 truck and it made a huge difference right across the rev range. Whilst the 08-11 manifold ultimately makes more power, it's all at the top-end from what I've heard from people who've done it. The 05 also bolts straight on, no adaptor required.
I assume you've got HO (or equivalent) cams? I don't think either manifold will improve things very much without them.

ho cams with an 08 mani made my top end pretty wicked, but lost a noticeable amount of low end.

2003 with the RamAIR IAT and transmission line booster plugs, AFE CAI and 2 chamber flowmaster on the stock exhaust. No HO cams. Which intake would be better, 05-07 or 08 and up?
