Default Winch, PRESENT FOR US MARINE

Hey guys, My brother leaves for Marine Corps boot camp on monday, the 27th. He is also a volunteer fire fighter who has served our community for two years now. He drives a 2004 SLT quad cab with a 4.7 V8. He loves off roading but doesn't usually have people to go out with. As a gift from my family, we want to buy him a Warn VR8000 winch, and have it installed before he gets home in three months.

I want to know where the best location to install the winch would be on his truck, He has a brush guard installed, but the cross bar seems a little flimsy to handle the weight, and force of the winch in action. All suggestions and feedback would be greatly appreciated. below is a picture of the front of his truck.

Thank you for the help! That is very nice, but do you know.of.any ways to mount it right to the brush guard? I have seen multiple trucks, not only dodge, that have winches mounted right onto the guard.
