Default Body Lift Install Help - Steering

Hey guys,

finally getting around to putting on my body lift this weekend but I'm stumped with the steering extension... what is the best way to get at it?? From the bottom it looks really tight and I can only get one arm up there.

How did you guys access it?

Thanks

Oh yeah, vehicle info in sig and top right..

I found the best way was to remove the front tire and go in thru the wheel well. You also get at the New bracket for the brake lines that way. Undo the shaft from the u-joint, lift the front end, then work on putting it all back together. Patience is the key... Good luck

Been working on getting the extension back onto the shaft and I am not having any luck. It does not just slip back on. How can I force it on? Hitting it with the hammer doesn't get both the top and bottom on. Not enough room for a c clamp. Should I file the the extension to slip it on or wat?

Everything else has gone great cept the damn steering extension.

Cheers

If you can try using a file to clean the inside of the yoke, its square so a file should work. Probly has a bunch o' **** in there. Mine was tight but not so I had to beat it on. Should be a snug fit, check for burs on the extension shaft, file down if nessasary.

Mine was tight to. Did same thing take a file or sandpaper and clean around inside of the extension. Sometimes when they machine those things they don't get all of the junk off. And a couple good smacks doesn't hurt.
