ok i have most of my exhaust done and it sounds great only thing is that is i dont have tips as of right now its ends under the bed of the truck no tip anywhere. So my idea for the tips is to have them side port before the rear passenger tire. which means i am going to have to make a custume pipe for it. but i dont know if i want to go dual 4-5 inch tips , or go with a single 6-8 inch tip? the tips would be cut in angle to match the side of the truck.


so what do u guys think and any other ideas would be also taken into account

 

IMO anything over 4" is hideous. Even some of the 3.5's or 4's I see are hideous.

I'm good with angle-cut pipe, like stock. Really depends on where it is. I like the ram's because the tips accent the bumper. But generally I like no tips at all.

 

years ago i had a 500 ci 440, i had a a guy do the exhaust, and he said it was going to be to loud. so he made the last 2-3 inchs of the pipe, diameter necked down by 20-30%. but it doesnt reduce restriction much. but is much quieter. it did very good.

 

well all the pipes in the truck have been increase by 1/2 in. so right now the pipe coming out of the muffler is 3 inches. well i guess i could just make a 3 inch dual port exit.
