I'm considering a 2003 quad cab SLT 4wd 4.7. It has the factory tow package. Other than the obvious hitch,lights&brake connectors and tranny cooler what else is included? Suspension or brake upgrades?

sl2racer, I was just looking at your sig pic and that is the exact same color, trim and wheels of the truck I am looking at.

 

my 2001 paper factory service manual. the VIN code in posistion 4 show. GROSS vehicle weight rating.
1. F=4001-5000 lbs
2. G=5001-6000 lbs
3. H=6001-7000 lbs
i cant find a spec for towing weight. iam sure the maker has one, but i dont know it.

 

mine didn't come with the tow package. i added a extra trans cooler, and electric trailer brake module. no need to do anything with the breaks.

 

The one I am looking at is an H. I drove it quite a bit today and if all works well I will have it in the garage Monday. Looking forward to it for sure.
