Default Transmission change

I have a 98 dakota with a V6, that I need to replace the transmssion. The old tranny, I'm assuming is the 44re. I have a used tranny that looks like a 46re. It came from a 1 ton van, year 97.

The bell housing looks the same but the used tranny has and extra sensor 6" from the drive train end.

old: PK 52119538 3160 6213
used: PK52119510 3219 6705

Will this used tranny work for me? What sensors do I need to change?

I can post pictures if needed.

Thanks
Dwight

are the engines the same? find a local engine or trany builder, ask them. look up, A & Reds. wichita, ks they can tell you what you need. new subject: external filter.
1. go to auto-zone. get 2210, its called a power steering filter, but it is for transs to. it is for 3/8 tubing. by (magna-fine) be sure to use high pressure hose. should fit chryslers
2. for other sizes wix 58964 5/16 tube size
