Hey guys, I'm new here and just picked up an 03 dakota 4x4 extended cab. The problem is that's all I know, besides that i think it has the 4.7. Do you guys know of any ways to tell more specifically what model I have?

Look at sticky at the head of this page under general info you will find a place for vin number info. This will break down some info for you. All you will need is your vin number and you can get that off of the title or your insurance paperwork or the truck.

 

Sweet, thanks! Oh and I know where the VIN is, I've been into cars all my life, this is just my first time in the world of Dodge lol.

 

You can also email Chrysler for a build sheet of your truck.

Also your glove compartment and door jamb stickers will tell you what model trans you have, gear ratio, difs etc.
