Default Humid and cold start and run problem.

Ok, The saga continues.

During this past week, three of the mornings have been below 50 degrees and humid (dew). Starting it takes several tries. Going down the road, it may die several times right off, and/or die once I get to the freeway. It dies when I let up on the gas it seems, like when you are slowing down.

So far, I have replaced the battery (it was the wrong size and strapped down with a rubber cord), the starter (bushings were shot in it and it shorted), one cable end, cap, rotor, coil, and the TPS.

Once it gets above 50, I don't have these problems.

I cleared the check engine light last night, and hope to capture codes this morning, but it never got down below 50 last night, and it started right up this morning. I was thinking about putting a new MAP, and clean the Idle Air Sensor on it today, and maybe look for vacuum leaks. I just wanted to post this to see if anyone else had any similar experiences.

Thanks

if your truck has a distributor. the trouble might be moisture inside. caused by the vent in the cap. the fix is to seal the vent hole, with JB-weld. start with a new cap. took me 5 years to figure it out.
