I'm about to venture into uncharted territory... My brother is having problems with his 2002 Dakota driver's door handle and asked if I'd replace it for him. Since I don't have a whole lot of experience with this, can anybody bestow any tips or tricks on me?

 

After ya get the door panel off it's not too complicated at all.

Take out the 4-5 screws, lift and pull out and bam the panel is off.

The thing I actually had the most trouble with was trying to pop the little bar that connects the handle to the latch, was super easy once I realized you have to snap it out before you lift up.

 

Thanks for the heads up... as it turned out, there wasn't anything wrong with the handle. Apparently, some dirt got into the latch mechanism and gummed it up a little. I sprayed it clean with WD-40 and voila - success.
