Default Performance/Handling Expectations (Tires)

Hoping to be informed about the difference one can expect between two different tire sizes.

265/70-16 30.6" tall and
265/75-16 31.6" tall

I realize it's just 3% taller over-all.
  • Is that enough to make cornering a little more loose or wobbly?
  • Will the 75's give a better off-road experience or capability?
  • Will gearing be satisfactory to current smaller tires? have 3.55 gears
I know it makes the truck look a little better, so I'm curious what I might expect if I go larger without a lift. Seems inconsequential, but I'm guessing you'll have input for me!

Thanks in advance.

Honestly, I don't think it will make a noticeable difference handling wise. You will gain a 1/2" clearance for off road, but that really won't make a big difference. You will lower your gear ratio a little, again it will probably only through your speedometer off a couple mph. But it will look better. The looks will most likely be the more noticeable difference.
