5 speed transmission help needed

i have a 1997 dodge dakota extended cab 4x4 5.2 liter 5 speed just turned 325k running strong
truck has never had any big issues one hell of a towing truck used to transport cars across country by my dad before he bought a new ram dually and a bigger trailer the truck has always been quiet out of nowere i was driving doen the highway and transmission started to make a chirping noise the faster i go the worse it gets also makes a chattering noise while in gear and goes away when i come to a stop can't figure out what is making the noise has new clutch this past spring maybe 20k miles on it

any help would be appreciated truck is not abused or beaten doesn't shift hard etc
any ideas please let me know

It's the nv3500, right? Has it ever been rebuilt? Fluid changed/flushed? Does it only make noise under load?

service
always serviced regularely and as far as i know it has had only minor work done to it syncro's bearings and seals fluid changed every spring or 30k

Chirping noise sounds like u-joints. I would check those first.

I thought the older Dakota's (pre 2000) had AX-15's?...

V8s have always had the NV3500.
