Default head lights wont go out

My head lights {not running lights} are on all the time with the main headlight switch in the cab off. Even with the truck not running and ignition switch off. Have to disconect battery cable to turn them off. 98 dakota with v8. Any ideas. Sounds like a short but can't find any.

I'd guess the problem is in the switch itself. Even though it's off it's not cutting the power to the lights.

The switch also runs the interior lights. They all still work fine when swithed on and off. So I figured that the switch is still fine. I cant find any relay or selinoid for the lights either.

There's a relay that sounds like it's burned up and stuck open. I haven't bothered to look for it in my Dak, but I'd wager it's nestled up under the dash by the interior fuse panel.
