any easy help for sloppy shifting 545?
my truck is an 04 4.7 with the 5 spd auto (545 RFE?). I've never liked the super smooth, slow shifts. My son recently bought an 08 4.7 with the 5 spd auto, and besides haing a lot more high speed zip, it shifts GREAT, just like it should, with crisp, yet smooth shifts.
Is there an easy way to update the 04 tranny to shift like this (I know a shift kit would help, but I can't put one in myself)? New TCM maybe? If that would work, how much would it cost to get one installed?
