Default Is it possible to remove Sliding Rear Window?

Hi, new here. Had a Dakota for years, finally gave up the transmission and had too long of a list of other things to fix. Worst thing about it was that it was not a full size - which is what I really needed.

Anyway, just bought a '98 work truck. I guess it is a base model, rubber floor, no frills truck with a 5.9L.

I am wanting to get a sliding rear window. Is it possible to remove the unit from a parts and instal it in my truck without destroying it (maybe just replace the rubber?)

yes, you can remove the entire rear window unit and swap with another truck. But alot of people do it, have a hard time with not breaking the glass.

I qualified auto window installer should be able to do it without breaking the glass I should think making sure the rubber is as warm as possible so it’s very flexible before attempting the removal is the key. Trying to do this in very cold weather is not a good idea
