Bad bearing, can I make it home?

actually my 92 has replaceable bearings
87-96
are 4wd different also?
I'm 2wd
I wonder if the hubs interchange?

Default I made it!

Thanks everyone, I did jack it up and there was no play in the wheel and last time I had to get the whole thing, couldn't buy just the bearings. I just took it easy getting home and made it fine. I'm putting in the shop this week. Thanks again!

I learned a bunch also
I have well over 200k on my 92 with only regreases when I do the brakes
are you 2wd or 4wd?

Why they changed to sealed bearings is only a guess on my part but I think it had to do with speeding up production and cutting costs less parts to assemble at the auto plant. They started using pre assembled parts or packages that can be installed as units. I also think this is when all the China parts started comming in.

I concur. Gone are the times of slinging grease in your palm to pack a bearing...
