Good find! I believe you are on to something
Where the seat is not actually the one I have in the truck, it's more like this:

The cupholder looks the same. In the listing for my 97 it shows #22 but never has a listing for it or a part number. It goes from 21 right to 23 and shows parts for the one I already have but nothing is said about #22 but the picture....
Where as your picture shows the wrong seat type but it actually has #5 listed and a part # for the cupholder 5FE39RC3 and a whopping $70 for it.
Now if you go to the proper seat listing:

It skips right over #22 AND it's only $28 for the other cupholder!! CRAZY!! But we are getting somewhere. THANKS A BUNCH 98DAKAZ

I think your best bet is find a cup holder that you can make a bracket that fits in the spot and fab something up or make something from scratch that fits the bracket or remove the bracket and mount as you can to the seat area

This place has all kinds of things you may be able to make a bracket to fit in the spot http://www.aliexpress.com/discount/d...up-holder.html

Do you still have your cup holder? What would you need for it?
