Default 15/16" rim size

Am I seeing things, or were aluminum dako/dur wheels both 16x8 AND 15x8?

Want a set of 15x8 to put slicks on, Cragar soft 8's are heavy steel, did a search for sits&grins, saw stock dako/dur 15x8 aluminums that look like my 16's....so did both sizes use the same design?

Seems google says the 15x8 was 97-00 and 16x8 was 01-04? If so, I'll take a 21 pound stock aluminum wheel over a 32 pound cragar steel wheel any day...

They obviously look extremely similar.

As for your question, all that would matter is the number of lugs and diameter of the pattern, right?

Good luck!

I had the 15's on my truck and I could easily tell they arent the same as the 16's. Maybe the ones that are 16 but say are 15's are marked wrong or maybe theyy are euro wheels or sometin.

Red face

What works better for ride comfort in just a city driven truck as I would like a little larger rim like a 16 or the 17.

But I do like a smooth comfortable ride the 17 may be too stiff of a ride they look great but I like comfort

My days of looking cool are long gone

I prefer 15's over 16's. The price of the tire is way cheaper with a 15. My ram has 16's and looking for 33's im lucky to find a street tire for under 800.00. Yet I had 32in bfg's on my dakota(15in rim) and I paid a tad over 600.00 for them

Not to mention that most of the 16" tires I've seen are either load range D or E, which means that the 15" ones will ride a little nicer.
