2000 Dakota 4.7 starting problems??
I have a 2000 Dakota 4.7 4x4 manual trans. 180k miles. I have been having minor issues with it starting.
When i go out in the morning it starts right up. If i run it a while, shut it off then start it again it starts right up as well. If i run it a while then shut it off and go to start it 30 min to an hour latter I crank it over and it will not start, but if i let off the key then crank it again it starts right up every time.
It is not a big deal but I want to take care of it so i am not left stranded some were on day.
I am guessing it is a sensor (Crank shaft or Cam shaft sensor, or TPS).
Any advice or experience would be appreciated.
I checked for codes and I get one but it is for the AC clutch.
Thanks,
