I have noticed the price for body parts for these Dakotas has jumped up almost 50% over the last 6 years.

Thats a big jump

All other parts have jumped up around 10% to 40%

dakaz, yes

db, yes there are local ones, thats where those prices are from (online listings). going yard surfing in the AM to find that core support. I may well escape this for under $600 and 3 days sans truck.

remember our trucks are 13+ years old now.

I'm preferring the fender to match my blue, but my second choice is black. Because black goes well with blue....unlike, say, red/green/white. So i'm being a little picky. Admittently, i'm probably going to put that roll-on/brush-on bedliner on the lower bumper this go-round and go for the blacked out look....black grille and black bumper = makes black HID headlight housings look good.

$100 for complete core support already out of truck, $175 for pass fender and hood, he pulls (fender is my color w/ the clearcoat thing going on, hood is slate gray), and they had a plain gray bumper that I didn't inquire about.

new radiator is made by CSF and runs $142. Might stretch my $600 budget a little, but not too badly.

$100- core support
$175- fender and hood
$150- radiator
$unknown- grille
$unknown- bumper

$425 so far.
