Default best true HID projectors

I have a choice: replace my no-longer-existant passenger headlight with an OEM type, or go projector. With the loss of my HID fogs, I'd much rather the projectors.

I'm going to plasti-dip the entire bumper and grill so the front of the truck is blacked out, so a black-cased projector unit would be great. But no dual halo's, no CCFL, no LED, and no halogen high beams. True projectors, with eyelids that go up and down for high/low beam. I'm not a fan of the white halo/CCFL rings, or LED light strips.

Point me in the right direction please?

http://www.retro-solutions.com/ You have to install the projectors in current housings. Which allows you to pick anything you want pretty much

The best out there but also not too cheap. Im running hids in my halogen projectors and they seem just the same as hid projectors. Everyone says you will get flashed unless you use an hid projector but I dont. My dad actually gets flashed more in his challenger with hid projectors than I do

I'm not seeing any light housings on their page, just the projector units. Do they not make a true projector housing for our truck?

Yeah they make projectors that you install into what ever housings you want. I dont like any of the projector setups for the dak.

I have these same housings, only in complete chrome. Do these have sealant between the housing and the lens? Definitely missing parts to this series.

I'll just get black clear-corners then. I don't have time to chop/cut/rebuild light assemblies. Somebody on the forum that has alot of spare time should just do them as an assembly line and sell them.

Well I just posted that up to show how you would put them in but I fixed it with everything now.

The thing is you got about 130-150.00 for lights. Projectors are around 100-140.00 so I would think labor would be about 100.00 to make it worth it.I would say it would take about 6-8hrs to do both lights.

Why do you wanna go with a projector? I had the ones that were shown in the vid and ran high/low hid's in them without a problem.

just to be fancy and updated.

I think I'll just go with clear corners instead.

@dakaz, for the price of a pair of new/still-clear OEM's, I may as well go with something that functions better. I did the toothpaste thing on my lights 2 months ago, made a huge difference, but they're back to yellow. One night I had to play with the switch to see if my low beams were on- there was hardly a difference from off to low beam. Had to drive with the high beams because that was the only way I could see.
