My original plan was to build one out of square
tubing, then start slapping flat pieces of steel on it until I had a hybrid tube bumper. I'll definitely go and see it in person.

That's kind of how mine is. The main bar is made of 6x3 tubing, instead of the more common open back design. Not really sure why I did it that way. It was one of those "plan as you go" projects, lol.

It's all done! Took it down to the river, winch is a little hard on the battery, time to upgrade to two!

Sick! I love it, good job. Now lets see that winch put to work pulling someone out that is stuck. LOl with the shell it looks like a Durango.

Thanks guys, was a lot of work and effort. I figured if I ever was going to build one I only wanted to build it as strong as I could. Testing the winch out and had no problem pulling the truck with all four wheels locked up, plenty of power! Think I'll build a rear bumper to match and now I can download pics I'll take plenty.

Just stumbled across CL ad...There's a new fab shop 45 minutes from me who builds these. It might be time to make a new friend.
I'd have it slimmed down a bit...The grill guard and inserts are optional (Inserts are overkill for me).

Front winch bumper for Dodge truck.
1/4 and 3/16 steel construction CNC plasma cut on our own equipment. Clevis/shackle mount cut from 1" thick steel and welded inside and out of the bumper for extreme pulling/recovery. Grill guards are made from box in 3/16 plate steel with 2" sch 40 pipe. 1 3/4" .120 wall tubing for light guards.

Other models available for most years: Dodge, Chevy, Ford & Jeep.
We offer general fabrication and welding along with CNC plasma cutting.

That's a nice looking bumper and a good price, especially if you don't have to pay any shipping. The inserts are definitely too much, but the grille guard looks good.
