Thumbs down Ignition Fuse Keeps Blowing ???

Ihave a 98 Dodge Dakota that keeps blowing the main Ignition fuse when the keyis turned to the on/run or start positions. I have looked for shorts and done some testing but cannot find the problem. Is this a common or recurring problem? If you have encountered this please reply.

Possibly a bad ignition switch.

I will move this to the 2nd generation Dakota sub-forum.
