33s with 4.10s, but I think the real problem is my right foot.

My dakota was odd. I could drive like a 90 year old lady and get 12-13mpg then I could drive like a 16yr old on the first day of having his license and still get 11-12mpg lol

I removed the whole front axle in my truck and didn't notice any increase. I think the drag associated with live axles is largely overblown.

Well in 80 miles I'm at a half tank :/ maybe that's from the offroading and stopping to pull out stuck vehicles

Off roading will kill your mileage in anything. Usually during coyote season we drive around to a few places( Mostly off road) Prob about 40 miles a day and we all go through about a half a tank of gas.

You also gotta remember that if you're driving, say, 30mph because of the snow, instead of 55mph, that's gonna kill your mileage considerably since you're pulling about the same RPM's but covering less of a distance per RPM.

Not only that, the extra drag associated with driving through snow vs a clear road will also use more gas.

What's the mpg difference at let's say 60mph for running in overdrive (5th gear in mine) or od off? The rpm difference is 1500 vs 2400

Got to this before I could. If I'm in 4wd, I'm going to have fun with it.
