Red face New Shock Help 2000 Dakota 4x4

so todays my bday, my 19th and I live in Canada so beer day for me yay lol anyways, decieded to treat me and my truck to some new shocks cause its got the same ones on it for the past 13 years and 166000kms. I found a guy who had a set sitting in his garage he used for a month but ended up not liking them for the stiffness, long story short i got a set of 4 barely used kyb monomax shocks for 80$ which I couldnt beat. Any tips on installing the things? like i said i live in canada and the salt winters have taken theyre toll, what are the bolt pitch and lenghts for the shocks cause I can assume ill break a few. any help would be appreciated! And thanks in advance for the bday wishes

Happy Birthday!

On mine, on the back, they used flange nuts on the chassis side. You'll still need a wrench for when it's about to come off, but they'll hold in place for most of the way. The bottom I forget, i just used a wrench. Impact gun is a must, you won't do the tops with a breaker bar.

Dropping the spare will help a ton.

Up front, just pop the 2 lower bolts off the lower control arm, clamp a pair of vice grips at the top of the shaft, and start turning the nut.
