Default Ummm, WTF? Tranny...

Well, I dunno what happened. I was driving home from work today, and my SES light just pops on. All of a sudden my transmission starts acting up. The O/D will not work, 1st gear shifts at about 2500 RPM, even when I really push it. When I am sitting still and I put the tranny in neutral, then into drive, it kicks in really hard, it kinda jolts you. Same when I am driving and I put it down into 2nd or 1st, it jolts you really hard. When I am moving though, and I put it in neutral, then drive, it wont jolt you. I dunno whats up with this thing. And it really pisses me off. Anyone have the faintest idea as to whats up?

Still under warranty? Take it in. Otherwise, take it to a tranny shop before you really break something. It's cheaper to fix it before it's really broken

Whens the last time you changed the tranny filter and fluid? Something could be clogging the valving. But yes take it in to a shop ASAP. Like horatio said, easier and cheaper to fix it now than after it breaks.

Or be like me and only buy manuals.
