Default Help, 2001 AWD Dakota 4.7 auto, slight kind of grinding noise after it shifts.

The noise SEEMS like its more towards the front, only lasts for half a second after shifting and doesn't seem to affect driving, the automatic transmission fluid is quite high on the dipstick but I heard they are inaccurate and I don't know if that would cause this. Any help is appreciated.

It shouldn't. Am I the only one that thinks that's a lower-than-normal shift speed?

edit- it's the 4.7/545 slushbox setup, so it's possible to have a lower shift pattern than I'm used to, with the extra gear.

That said, I know absolutely nothing about the 545 slushboxes.
