Default Adjusting shift points

anyone here ever adjusted shift points with a superchips 3815? when i floor it the 1st to 2nd shift has a hesitation before shifting and i wondered if i should adjust the shift point up or down to fix this. thanks

what engine do you have? Shift points are only adjustable on the *.7 motors with the 5/45RFE trans. 4*RE transmissions cannot be adjusted as they shift hydraulically.

44RE you can adjust slightly by adjusting the Trottle Valve cable.. I increased mine by like 6mph difference when i had it almost adjusted all the way it could safely go.. just random wild shifts at WOT.. i backed off a little still gives me nice powerful shift transfers gear to gear but no weird shifting at WOT>

i thought there was no cable for the 545rfe

Jon is thinking the 4*RE for the magnum motors. The 545 trans for the *.7 powertech motors, I'm not sure of, but I don't think there is since they're fully electronic.
