Default shocks - rancho 5000 vs edelbrock ias vs ???

I have a 2x4 98 dodge dakota with the 3.9l v6. it spends 99.5% of the time on road (if you can call the 405 in san fernando on road). I want to replace the orignal shocks (yes the ones dodge put on my truck in 98), they are almost gone at 100k miles. i was wondering for a STOCK ride height (not lifted or lowered - not going to [damn ball joints]), that do you recomend? i want either rancho rs5000's or edelbrock IAS's, but i am open to advice.

thanks

I have heard the IAS are kickass, I am actually considdering them for my Dakota. YOur choice though, I know the Ranchos are pretty good and cheaper

Both the edelbrock and the rancho are high quality shocks. I think the edelbrocks are a little pricey bt thats just me.

I've had the RS5000's and felt they were too soft for my liking... the edlebrocks are going on my wifes Dak soon, along with a swaybar bushing kit...
